TEWKSBURY: Eileen A. Kelley, R.N., JD, LLM, age 57, a resident of Tewksbury for over 20 years and a communicant of St. Williams Church, passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2011, at home with her family by her side, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Arlington on September 15, 1953, she was the daughter of Ann M. (Harrington) Kelley, who survives her, of Tewksbury and the late James E. Kelley, Jr.
Eileen was raised in Tewksbury, attended the former St. Williams Parochial School and graduated from Keith Hall in 1971.
Following graduation, she attended and later graduated from Lowell State College, where she received her degree in Nursing. In later years, she received her Law Degree from the New England School of Law and her Masters of Laws in Health Law from DePaul University.
Eileen dedicated her life to nursing and was employed by Boston Medical Center for over 20 years.
She enjoyed family gatherings and spending time with her nieces and nephews.
In addition to her mother, Eileen is survived by her siblings, Kathleen M. Kelley and her husband Stuart Barer of Sharon, Daniel F. Kelley and his wife Michele of Dracut, Nancy E. Moulton and her husband James of North Berwick, ME, James M. Kelley and his wife Lauren of Leesburg, VA, Kevin L. Kelley and his wife Katherine of Medford, Christine T. Harte and her husband Thomas of Chester, NH and Sheila P. Kelley of Tewksbury; also several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours Monday, Jan. 24, from 4-8 p.m., at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Her funeral will be held Tuesday, Jan. 25, at 10:30 a.m., from the funeral home, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m., at St. Williams Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury. Interment at St. Mary Cemetery, Tewksbury. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Massachusetts General Hospital, Development Office, 165 Cambridge St., 6th Floor, Boston, MA 02114, with a notation " In Memory of Eileen Kelley".
