Obituary

METHUEN – Emil J. Ameen 83 of Methuen died Monday January 17, 2011 at the Prescott House in North Andover, MA.

Born and educated in Lawrence, MA, he was a graduate of the Franklin Institute in Boston, MA. During World War II he proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged. For twenty six years he was employed with Thermo Electron in Waltham, MA. Emil was a charter member of the Valley Eagle Sports Club of Lawrence, charter member of Come Alive After Five Club, a member of the Methuen Seniors Bowling League and Trustee at the Methuen Senior Center.

Emil was loved by all who knew him especially for his kindness, friendliness and generosity and will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, June (DeForge) Ameen of Methuen, MA.
Daughters Sherry Delibac of Methuen and Lynne Sirois and her husband John also of Methuen and Julee Sciascia of Nashua, NH.
One brother Sam Ameen and his wife Beatrice of North Andover, MA
Emil is also survived by three other children from a previous marriage Margo, June and Mark Ameen.
Many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 1:00p.m. – 2:30p.m. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc., 233 Lawrence Street Methuen, MA 01844. A Funeral Service will follow at 2:30p.m. in the funeral home.
