Tommy R. Wynn, 60, of Fitzgerald, Georgia died Friday, January 21, 2011 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 4 P.M., Sunday, January 23 at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald with Deacon J. Bryan Bergeron officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Saturday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Wynn was born July 9, 1950 in Alma, Georgia to the late Clarence F. and Beatrice Fowler Wynn. He lived in Fitzgerald most of his life. He was a 1968 graduate of Bacon County High School. Mr. Wynn was former owner/operator of Wynn Industries and a former employee of Lippert Components and Elixir Industries. He had worked in the steel industry for over 30 years. He attended St. William’s Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife: Mary Beaumont Wynn of Fitzgerald; children: Diane (Josh) French of Milledgeville, Dawn (Frank) Fegel of Savannah, Garner (Stacy) Stephens of Valdosta and Emily (David) Huggins of Tifton; grandchildren: Carson French and Isabella Fegel; brothers: Vance (Frances) Wynn of Lake City, FL, Billy (Linda) Wynn of Alma, David (Emily) Wynn of Fitzgerald and Mike Wynn of Indian Trail, NC; sisters: Inez (Don) Hood of Wayhaw, NC, Anne (Jimmy) White of Blakely, Seleta (Mario) DeAngelis of Acworth and Sara (Billy) Schell of Fitzgerald; brother-in-law: Mike (Lori) Beaumont of Tifton; sisters-in-law: Gina (Dewey) Mosher of Savannah and Helen Wynn of Fitzgerald, as well as several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Karen Kennedy Wynn, brother, Buddy Wynn.
