Gerald R. Fullerton, 73

Dateline: Foxboro, MA

Gerald R. Fullerton, 73, of Foxboro formerly of Jamaica Plain and Dorchester passed away surrounded by his loving family on Thursday January 20, 2011 at the Caritas Norwood Hospital in Norwood.
Born in Boston, MA on September 29, 1937, he was a son of the late Glen R. and Helen (McKenna) Fullerton.
He grew up in the Dorchester section of Boston and was educated in Boston public schools. Following graduation from high school, he proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged on October 3, 1958 and returned to school and graduated from Newbury College.
Mr. Fullerton was employed for over 20 years for the City of Boston Housing Authority Department prior to retiring.
A resident of Foxboro for the past 30 years, he had formerly made his home in Jamaica Plain and Dorchester for many years. He loved spending time with his family and also reading.
He is survived by his loving family who were the essence of his life.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend graveside services with military honors on Monday January 24th at 1:00 P.M. at the Rock Hill Cemetery, South Street, in Foxboro.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday January 23rd from 6-8 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home 55 North Main St. Mansfield.
In lieu of flowers, Gerald’s family has requested that donations in his memory be made to the charity of ones choice pertaining to cancer research.
