Obituary


Blanche M. (DeGregorio) Vozzella 93, a lifelong Franklin resident, died Tuesday January 18, 2011 at Caritas Norwood Hospital. She was the wife of the late Mario Vozzella, who died in 1992.
Born in Franklin, July 2, 1917 a daughter of the late Tulio and Carmela (Grasso) DeGregorio, she was raised and educated in Franklin, and was a retired from the Franklin Mill Store where she worked as a sales clerk. She also worked at the former Palmer House now the Franklin Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center as the activities director.
She was a lifetime communicant of St. Mary’s Church, and a longtime member of its St. Mary’s Catholic Women’s Club. She was an avid reader and enjoyed cooking.
She is survived by her daughter Janet M. Rokicki and her husband Edmund of Plymouth, a grandson Brian E. Rokicki, a granddaughter Tracy A. Filipi and her husband Dallas, and a great granddaughter Samantha Filipi.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Monday January 24th, at 9:15AM from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. Franklin www.oterifuneralhome.com, with a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church 1 Church Sq. at 10AM.
Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
Calling hours are Sunday from 2-5PM.
