Obituary

DRACUT: Mark D. Fansel, age 45, a resident of Dracut for 15 years, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 13, 2011 in Brownfield, Maine.
He was the beloved husband of Christine L. (Patterson)( Diaby) Fansel, with whom he celebrated their 4th wedding anniversary on September 23, 2010.
Born in Tarrytown, New York on December 29, 1965, he was the son of Paul J. and Mary Lynne ((Bryant) Fansel , who survive him of Tewksbury.
Mark was raised in Tewksbury, attended Tewksbury schools and graduated from Tewksbury Memorial High School in 1984.
Following graduation, Mark attended North Adams State College.
He was currently employed at the McLean Hospital in Belmont, where he has worked for 15 years.
Mark reached the rank of Eagle Scout with Boy Scout Troop 41 in North Tewksbury, and has been Assistant Scout Master for several years.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his adopted daughter, Khadija Diaby of Dracut; his sister, Tricia Kaminsky and her husband Dan of Chelmsford; his brother, Andrew Fansel and his wife Denise of Tyngsborough; three nephews, Alex Fansel, Jacob and Cameron Kaminsky.
Calling hours Sunday, Jan. 23, from 2-4 p.m., at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury, followed by Services to be held at the funeral home. At the request of the family, kindly Omit Flowers. Donations in his memory may be made to Troop 41(in memory area write "Mark") and mail to Boy Scout Troop 41, c/o First Baptist Church, 1500 Andover St., Tewksbury, MA 01876.
