TAUNTON – Arthur C. Oden, a longtime Taunton resident, died at Lemuel Shattuck Hospital in Boston on Jan. 19, 2011.
He was 75.
Born in New York, NY, he was the son of the late Archibald and Mary (Purtell) Oden.
Educated in New York schools, he moved to the Taunton area many years ago.
Mr. Oden was a licensed boiler fireman employed at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro for over fifteen years, retiring in 1983 due to disability.
He leaves three daughters, Denise Cantwell and Darlene Murphy, both of Taunton, and Dawn Mackiewicz of Plymouth; a brother, William Oden of White Plains, NY; a sister, Mary Ellen Green of FL; two grandchildren, Sean and Bryan Cantwell; two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was also the brother of the late Concetta Joyce.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
He will be interred at Mayflower Hill Cemetery.
