Poplawski, John T. of Quincy, died on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, surrounded by his family, he was 81. Born in Somerville, Mass on Sept. 3, 1929, he was the beloved husband of 57 years to Elaine (Rouse) Poplawski . Loving father of Janet Stanton and her husband Stephen of Quincy, John Poplawski and his wife Deborah of Norton, Judith Poplawski of Wakefield, James Poplawski and Mary Juliano of Watertown and Jay Poplawski of Wakefield and his wife Sherry of Port Charlotte, FL. John is predeceased by 2 sisters and 3 brothers. Cherished grandfather of 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandsons and several nieces and nephews.
John was a proud Korean War Army veteran. He was the past Commander of the Polish American Veterans Post in Cambridge. A retired sales representative for an engineering firm for many years.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Friday, 4-8pm in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, QUINCY
A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 10:15AM on Saturday, prior to the Funeral Mass in Saint Ann's Church at 11:30 AM.
Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne on Monday.
