Goffstown– Constance M. Durette, 71, passed away January 17, 2011 at Elliot Hospital Hospice after a lingering illness.
She was born in South Berwick ,ME. on April 8, 1939 the daughter of Richard E. and the late Elizabeth (Rousseau) Durette, who predeceased her in 1983.
Constance attended local schools in Concord, Maplewood, NJ., graduating from Manchester West High in 1957. She retired from Verizon (New England Telephone Co.) in 1989 after 30 years of service. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. She was a member of St. Raphael Church..
She is survived by her father, Richard E. Durette, and her step mother, Gertrude A. Durette of Manchester, one brother, Terrence Durette of Manchester her companion Shirley Poehlman of Goffstown, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Services: Calling hours will be Sunday from 2 to 5 PM at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 AM in St. Raphael Church, 103 Walker St.. Burial will be in the spring at the convenience of the family in St. Joseph Cemetery.
