Agnes (Nitkewicz) Fontaine, 91, of Westport died Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Clifton Rehabilitative Nursing Center in Somerset. She was wife of the late Louis A. Fontaine.
Born in Oyster Bay, Long Island, NY, daughter of the late Frank and Josephine (Makowski) Nitkewicz, she had lived in Westport for most of her life. Mrs. Fontaine was formerly very active in the Senior Citizens of Our Lady of Grace, Westport. She enjoyed traveling and bingo, but most of all she loved being with her family.
Survivors include a son: Robert L. Fontaine and his wife Janet of Westport; 2 grandsons: Kevin James and his wife Jenna and Chad James and his wife Heather; 2 great grandsons: Connor James and Noah James; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Monday, January 24, 2011 from the Potter Funeral Home at 8:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Notre Dame Church, Fall River at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours Sunday 2 – 5 P.M.
Interment in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
