Madonna M. Robinton, 68, of Salem, NH, passed away on Sunday, January 16th, 2011 at the Salem Haven Nursing Center in Salem, NH surrounded by her loved ones.
Madonna was born in Passamaquoddy, Maine and was raised and educated in the Lawrence area. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Lawrence and went on to receive her Master's degree from Franklin Pierce College. Madonna worked for many years as a manager with Nynex. She had also worked in the real estate business for 10 years and was most recently employed with A.D.P. in Salem, NH, prior to her retirement.
Madonna was a member of Sweet Adeline’s Chorus, out of Rhode Island, and enjoyed traveling and competing with them, most recently in Calgary, Canada. She was also a member of the Merrimack Valley Chorus and enjoyed poetry, becoming a published poet with the New Hampshire Poetry Society in recent years.
Madonna leaves her two sons, Michael Tomaselli and his wife, Wendy, of Salem, NH and Daniel Tomaselli, also of Salem. She also leaves six grandchildren, Nicole Tomaselli, John-Michael Tomaselli, Kaitlyn Tomaselli, Cameron Lira and Cassandra Lira, all of Salem, and Samantha Tomaselli of Windham, NH. She predeceases her mother, Aurelia Adrey, her sister, Barbara Simpson and family friend, Susie Klien, of Wilton, NH, as well as her brother, Jerry Adrey. In addition, she is survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as, her good friend and angel on earth, Jackie Cameron.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Goundrey and Dewhirst Funeral Home, Salem, NH. A Memorial Mass in Madonna’s honor will be held on Friday, January 21st at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church, Salem. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 40 Buttrick Rd., Suite B, Londonderry, NH 03053 or to Salem-Haven Nursing Home, 23 Geremonty Dr., Salem, NH 03079, as Madonna received exceptional care and support from them.
