Mrs. Virginia Jones Brown, age 89, of Douglas GA passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2011; at the Meadows Regional Medical center in Vidalia GA. Mrs. Brown, a native of Metter GA was born, August 10, 1921; she is the daughter of the late Lee Ander, Sr. and Nettie Oliff Jones; also, she is the widow of the late James Daniel Brown, Sr. A member of the First Baptist Church in Douglas GA, she is a member of the Judy Drury Sunday School Class. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at the First Baptist church with Burial in the Douglas City Cemetery. Survivors include: Sons, James D. Brown Jr. and wife, Sara, Douglas GA; Steve Brown and wife, Malinda, Vidalia GA; Archie Brown and wife, Rosemary, Douglas GA; Brother Bobby Jones, Hardeeville SC; Grandchildren, Amber (C.L.) Brown, Craig Brown, Amber Botelho, Blake Brown, Lawton Brown, Worth Brown, Slater Brown; Great Grandchildren, Landon Botelho and Britton Botelho. Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
