Marie C. (Johnson) Towne, 77, of New Bedford died December 31, 2003 at Sippican Healthcare Center after a long illness.
She was the wife of the late Clifford Dean Towne and daughter of the late Emery and Margaret (Maloney) Johnson.
Mrs. Towne was born in New Bedford and had lived in Greater New Bedford for most of her life.
She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in South Dartmouth.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Christine Carli of Fall River and Gayle Gordon of New Bedford; 6 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.She was the sister of the late Warren L.E. Johnson and Anne F. Cusson.
Her Funeral Services will be private.
