Martha Ellen Kilpatrick, 81, of Fitzgerald, GA died Saturday, January 15, 2011, at Tift Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Monday, January 17, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tommy Baker officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 12 until the funeral hour.
Mrs. Kilpatrick was born December 20, 1929 in Wilcox County, GA to the late Charles Dewey and Carrie Mae Rowe McDuffie. A former resident of Waycross, GA, she worked there for Cauley Packing Co. Mrs. Kilpatrick worked for Lowell Packing Company and was retired from Delco Remy Battery Plant in Fitzgerald. She was a master seamstress and a member of First Baptist Church. She was a member of the U.A.W. and enjoyed gardening.
She is survived by a son, Kenneth Kilpatrick of Kathleen, GA; sisters, Katherine Wilkes of Ocilla and Theresa Bloom of Miami, FL; and several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Kilpatrick, 2 brothers, and 6 sisters.
