Plymouth – Shirley R. (Robinson) O’Connor 93, formerly of Beverly died Thursday January 13 after a period of failing health. She was the beloved wife of the late John E. O’Connor.
Raised in the Peabody and Salem, she was the daughter of the late Harry J. and Florence E. (Hewitt) Robinson.
Shirley had worked at Sylvania in Woburn and GTE. After her retirement she had worked many years as a valuable volunteer in the Beverly Hospital Gift Shop.
She is survived by her three loving nephews, Dana Larsen and his wife Barbara of Hanson, Kris Larsen and his wife Sharon of Plymouth and Peter Larsen and his wife Deborah of East Bridgewater. She was the sister of the late Gordon B. Robinson and Doris M. (Robinson) Larsen.
A Mass of Celebration will be held Tuesday January 25 at 11 AM in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 253 Cabot Street, Beverly, MA 01915. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Beverly, MA. Visiting hours are omitted by request of the family.
