Anne Daniel Peavy, 86, of Fitzgerald died Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at Dorminy Medical Center.
Graveside services will be held at 2 P.M., Sunday, January 16, 2011, in Evergreen Cemetery with Dr. Mike Ruffin officiating. The family will receive friends from 7-8 Saturday evening at the funeral home.
Mrs. Peavy was born September 21, 1924 in Fitzgerald to the late W. Lester and Alda Hunter Daniel. She was a 1942 graduate of Fitzgerald High School. A former resident of Atlanta, she lived in Fitzgerald most of her life and was a member of the First Baptist Church. Mrs. Peavy was an avid Braves fan.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law: Patricia Williams of Goose Creek, SC; brother, James (Charlotte) Daniel of Griffin, GA; granddaughters: Linda Beiber of Pooler,GA and Lynn Williams of Bluffton, SC; step grandsons, Carl Hontz of Phoenix City, AL and Robert Hontz of Yulee, FL; great grandson, Kyle Bieber of Pooler, GA and great grand daughter, Reiley Williams of Bluffton, SC.. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Emory C. Peavy, a son, Greg H. Williams and 3 brothers.
