Obituary

OXFORD-Chris I. Johnson, 67, died at home on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 surrounded by family.

He leaves his wife of 44 years, Dorothy (Dobson) Johnson; two daughters, Patricia Johnson of Thompson, CT and Tracy Stevenson and her husband Don Stevenson, Jr. of Oxford; two brothers, Charles Johnson and his wife Stella of Millbury, Ben Johnson of Grafton; two sisters, Pamela Kostrezba of Millbury and Lorna Chiasson of Grafton; four granddaughters and four great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Chris was born in Worcester the son of Irving and Eva (Benwood) Johnson. He served in the Army. Chris worked as a wire drawer at Johnson Steel & Wire for 23 years and then worked as a wire tester at Renaissance Wire Co. until his retirement in 2009. He was a member of the Singletary Rod & Gun Club, Central Mass. Trout Unlimited Chapter #148 and the National Rifle Association. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to fish.

Visiting hours will be on Friday, January 14 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at LINDQUIST LUNDIN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Butler St., Worcester. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
