MARY “JACKIE” HEDRICK
Mary Jacqueline Cox Hedrick, age 66, of 112 Englewood Lane, Danville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, January 10, 2011 in the Danville Regional Medical Center.
Born November 17, 1944 in Danville, she was the daughter of the late Robert D. Cox and Mary Neal Cox. She lived her entire life in Danville and was employed at Woolworth’s for 20 years and later as a Supervisor at Biscuitville for 16 years. She spent much of her time taking care of her grandchildren, who better knew her as “Nanny”. Mrs. Hedrick was a member of Central Boulevard Church Of God.
Survivors include her husband, Billy Hedrick of the residence; one son: Michael Hedrick and his wife Sandra of Danville; two daughters: Patricia Trimpey of Danville, Robin Eskey and her husband Chuck, also of Danville; one brother: Buddy Cox of Plasko, Virginia; three sisters: Joan Campbell and Mildred Powell, both of Danville, and Shelby Collie of Colonial Heights, Virginia; her grandchildren: Charity Hedrick, Jensine Honeycutt, Christian Honeycutt, McKinzee Hedrick, Callie Trimpey, Chandler Eskey, and Matherly Eskey. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by five brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services officiated by Rev. John Meadows will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2011 at 2 p.m. at the Central Boulevard Church Of God. Interment will follow in Danville Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Central Boulevard Church Of God on Wednesday evening, January 12, 2011, from 7 until 8:30 p.m., and at other times at the residence, 112 Englewood Lane, Danville.
