METHUEN – Sibyl (Crafts) Fontaine 86 of Methuen died Friday January 7, 2011 at Holy Family Hospital.
Born September 9, 1924 to Kenneth Crafts, Sr. and Ruby (Waldron) in Gardner, MA, she was a graduate from Gardner High School Class of 1942. She was a secretary with the Thayer Company located in Gardner. On October 27, 1951 she married George Fontaine who pre-deceased her on April 24, 1998.
In April 1958 they moved to Methuen. She was a great wife, mom, friend and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her daughter Brenda Fontaine of Methuen. She also leaves her brother Kenneth “ Buster” Crafts, Jr. and his wife Ruth of Gardner, MA.
Brother and Sisters-in-law, Norman Fontaine and his wife Carolyn of st. Louis, MO, Jeanette Dermody of Southbury, CT and Annette Peabody of Baldwin, MO
Several nieces, nephews and many friends.
ARRANGEMENTS: Memorials can be made to a Charity of One’s Choice. Honoring Sibyl’s request there will be no visiting hours or services. A burial will take place at a late date.
