New Bedford - Anthony J. L. Jones, age 19 years, died unexpectedly Thursday, January 6, 2011. He was the beloved son of Yvonne Mendes and James Jones of New Bedford.
Anthony was the brother of James, Zhane and Janiah Jones all of New Bedford. He was the paternal grandson of Patricia Jones of Boston and the maternal great grandson of Mary Mendes of Boston. Mr. Jones also leaves behind several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Mr. Jones was born in New Bedford and lived in this area all of his life. He was a graduate of New Bedford High School. Anthony was very active in the music industry as a rapper and was in the process of producing music CD’s.
Mr. Jones’ funeral services will be at the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. on Tuesday at 10:30 A.M. with services beginning at 11 A.M. Burial will follow at Rural Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours will be Monday evening from 5 – 8 P.M. In lieu of flowers donations can be made directly to his family.
