Mrs. Hessie Eaton Heath Tucker, age 90, of Pilot Mountain passed away on, January 7, 2011 at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC. She was born in Stokes County on September 12, 1920 to the late John H. Eaton and Sarah Lucy Heath Eaton. Mrs. Tucker worked in the Cutting Dept. at Spencer’s and was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Tucker is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Alice (Perry) Cooke, of Pilot Mtn., Teresa H. (Gaston, Jr.) Bowman, of Rural Hall, one son and daughter-in-law, Dalmer (Deliha) Heath, of Mt. Airy, eight grand children, and one brother, Bunzy Eaton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Lee Heath, one son, Raymond Heath, her parents. Three brothers, Rumley, Robie, and Roscoe Eaton, and her half-sister, Bertha Lawson. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 10, 2011 at Cox-Needham Funeral Chapel in Pilot Mountain at 11:00 A.M with Bro. Don Collins officiating with interment to follow at Sulphur Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 9, 2011 from 6-8 PM at Cox-Needham Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sulphur Springs Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o John Shelton, 2552 Old Hwy 52 South Pilot Mountain, N.C. 27041.
