Obituary

Kalia Rae Kuligowski, 26, died Thursday January 6th at Elliot Hospital in Manchester, NH from complications related to cancer. She was born July 27, 1984 in Arlington, VA and lived in Nigeria, South Korea, Saudi Arabia and Honduras while her Father worked for the State Department. After graduating from Pinkerton Academy in 2002 she obtained an Associates from Snow College, a Bachelors in History from Utah Valley University and was pursuing her Masters in Library Sciences at Simmons College in Boston. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints she served a mission in Russia for which she became fluent in the language.
She was predeceased by her brother Adam and is survived by her mother Tracie, father Michael and brothers Stefan and Lukas.
Kalia’s funeral was held Saturday, January 15, 2011. A calling hour was held from 9:00am – 10:00am at the Derry Ward located at 50 Adams Pond Road in Derry, NH, with the funeral following at 10:00am. The burial followed in the Forest Hill Cemetery in E. Derry. In lieu of flowers the family asks instead that donations be made to the Sloth Sanctuary in Costa Rica where she volunteered.
