Obituary

KONIGSBERG, PEARL (GROSSMAN)
Age 82, died peacefully at the New England Homes for the Deaf in Danvers, Massachusetts on Wednesday, January 5, 2011. Born in New York City, daughter of the late Mollie Steinberg and Max Grossman. Beloved mother of Linda Lea (Lindy) and her husband Jamie King of Groton and Deborah Overture of New York. Sister to Clara Orlinsky of Toronto, Ontario, Canada and twin sister to the late Sylvia Grossman. Grandmother of Jesse and Julie. Dear friend to Linda Burns of Stoneham. Pearl lived in New York most of her life and attended the Lexington School for the Deaf graduating in 1944. She worked for UPS for several years before marrying and having children. Pearl moved to Roslindale where she lived for 14 years at Blue Ledge Co-op Senior Housing and frequented Boston Aid to the Blind in West Roxbury. A private celebration of Pearl’s life will be held at a later date.
