Judith R. Kilgore, 72, of Raymond, NH, died unexpectedly Thursday January 6, 2011, in the Exeter Hospital in Exeter, NH. She was born in Red Bank, NJ on November 22, 1938, a daughter of the late Charles and Martha (Larsen) Eilenberger. Judy grew up in Sea Bright, NJ, a place that she loved her entire life. She was a resident of Raymond since 2005, formerly living in Londonderry, NH, Windham, NH, and Holmdel, NJ. She enjoyed cooking for people who enjoyed to eat. Those who had the privilege to dine at a family gathering would walk away with a culinary experience. Judy was caring, generous and nonjudgmental, always willing to do for others before herself. Many times she became a mother to the friends of her children and others who needed a shoulder to lean on. In recent years Judy enjoyed traveling with her sister Mary and reconnecting with childhood friends from Sea Bright. Judy loved the music of the 50's and shared that passion by treating the girls to the Broadway show "Jersey Boys". The love for her husband, children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews was always evident and unconditional. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.
She is survived by three sons, Michael G. Kilgore, Jr. and wife Karen of Sewaren, NJ, Scott G. Kilgore and wife Beneranda of Nashua, NH, and Wally G. Kilgore and wife Kathleen of North Hampton, NH; two daughters, Susan V. Montesano and husband Ralph of Sea Bright, NJ, and Mary K. Cowan and husband Dennis of Raymond; 13 grandchildren; one sister, Mary Ellen Kinzinger of Wilmington, DE. She was predeceased by her husband, Michael G. Kilgore, Sr. in 2005, and her brother, Charles Eilenberger.
Funeral services were held privately at the request of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, Gift Processing Administrator, 18251 Quantico Gateway Drive, Triangle, VA 22172 or to the Raymond Fire Dept., 1 Scribner Road, Raymond, NH 03077. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry is handling the arrangements.
