WESTFALL - Graveside funeral services for Kirk “Capt. Kirk” Westfall, 51, will be held at Jacksonville National Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 14,with Pastor Jeff Overton officiating.
Mr. Westfall moved to Yulee, FL 25 years ago from Friendship, New York and was a member of The Iron Workers Union Local 597. He was also a veteran of the U. S. Navy. He enjoyed repairing cars and was the winner of the “beard contest” at the Fernandina Beach Shrimp Festival three years in a row. When he was in high school he was the recipient of a soccer scholarship and, to this day, still holds school athletic records. He has also been involved with Karate for many years.
Mr. Westfall is survived by three sons, Korry Westfall, Kyle Westfall (Jan Byrd) and Kasey Westfall, all of Yulee, FL; two brothers, Grant Campbell and Karl Westfall; six sisters, Annette Rubright, Bonnie Westfall, Cindy Westfall, Valerie Doran, Kathy Kumada and Tina Hall; six grandchildren, Kollin Westfall, Alexis Nix, Kelsey Westfall, Kayden Westfall, Karson Westfall and Kyle Westfall, Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
