Obituary

Cynthia Williams-Karnan died on January third. She will be remembered around the lakes region as a devoted wife and mother, a close friend and confidant, and as a skilled and caring nurse to her many patients throughout the area. Cindy loved dancing, walking in her neighborhood, motorcycling around the state, late night swims even in the rain, skiing on the best days, and collecting guitar picks at the Meadowbrook concerts. Along with her twin sister Bev and close friend Shelly, Cindy played at raising floating in a tube to a kind of art form. Cindy loved to be with her family, and among people. All who knew her will remember her gentle nature, her genuine smile, and the happiness that she spread in her travels.
Cindy is survived by her husband of thirty years, Keith Karnan, her beloved children, Jennifer and Krista, her precious twin sister Beverly and Bev’s husband Les Foote, and many dear nieces and nephews and their children. There will be a memorial service at Gilford Community Church in Gilford Village on Friday, January 7th, at 4 PM. The service will be followed by a gathering in the church fellowship hall. Family and friends are invited to the Karnan home at 38 Sanborn Road immediately after. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in Cindy’s name be made to Gilford Community Church.
