PAXTON-James M. Early, 91, for 20 Walbridge Road died Sunday, December 28th in his home. He leaves his wife of 67 years Marie B. (Liberty) Early, a son Paul J. and his wife Noreen Early, a daughter Anne M. wife of Joseph Giangregorio, and a daughter in law Deborah Early all of Paxton, 13 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren, nephews and nieces. His son Worcester Police Lieutenant Thomas D. Early died in 1999. 4 brothers David, Richard, George and Robert Early and a sister Winifred Scott predeceased him.
He was born in Worcester the son of James J. and Winifred P. (Twiss) Early. Mr. Early owned and operated Early Brothers Dairy and at one time delivered milk with his horse drawn wagon. He later worked for the City of Worcester, before establishing and operating Early’s Limousine, and Early’s Trucking transporting mail for the U.S. Postal Service as an independent contractor covering routes in Massachusetts and Connecticut. He was a member of St. Columba Church; and an avid horseman owning riding stables in the area.
The funeral is Wednesday, December 31st from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 11:00 AM in St. Columba Church, 18 Richards Avenue, burial will be in Mooreland Cemetery, Paxton.
