Whitney, Ilena F. (Scanlon), of Marshfield, January 2, 2011, 63 years of age. Beloved wife of David R. Whitney. Dear mother of Susan Teuten of Pembroke and Steven Whitney of Worcester. Loving grandmother of Josephine, Sarah and Keller. Dear sister of Mary Ellen Dakers of Kingston and Beth Guist of Brick Township, NJ. Also survived by her faithful dog “Blue 2”.
Ilena was born in Milford, MA. She received her degrees from Fitchburg College and Leslie College. Ilena was Program Director for ARC of Greater Plymouth. She was past Vice Commodore and past Steward of The Marshfield Yacht Club. Ilena was a former Girl Scout Leader.
At the request of the family, Funeral Services will be private.
