Frances C. (McHugh) O’Brien, 81, passed away on Dec. 30, 2010 in Lahey Clinic Burlington. She was the wife of the late Walter V. O’Brien.
Born in East Boston on July 30, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Margaret (Power) McHugh. Frances graduated from Fitton High School in Boston. She had been an employed as an Administrative Assistant for the New England Telephone Co. in the accounting department for 38 years. Frances was a resident of Danvers for over 30 years and a faithful parishioner of St. Mary of the Annunciation Church.
She is survived by her loving sisters, Margaret MacDonald of Dorchester and Anne Fay Derleth of Danvers, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings John L. and Catherine M. McHugh.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9AM on Tues., Jan 4 in St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will be private. Vst. hrs are Mon. from 4-8PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Frances’s name to St. Mary of the Annunciation Sanctuary Fund, 24 Conant St., Danvers, MA, 01923.
