WORCESTER-Richard D. "Pepe" Rawlston, 69, of Worcester, died Friday, December 31st in his home, surrounded by his loving family. He leaves his wife of 43 years, Janet M. (Patenaude) Rawlston; four daughters, Karen M. Rawlston and her fiancé Jack Sweeney, Michele M. Wilkman and her husband Brian and Kelly A. Rawlston and her fiancé Matthew Earley, all of Worcester and Mary Stimpson of Leicester; a brother, Daniel F. Rawlston of Lakeland, FL; a sister, Judith A. Liseno of Webster; nine grandchildren; a great grandson. He was predeceased by three brothers, Chester, William and Timothy Rawlston.
Mr. Rawlston was born in Worcester, the son of Chester and Margaret (Shea) Rawlston. He attended South High School. Mr. Rawlston was a machinist for Rexnord Chain Company until his retirement in 1986. He was a member of the former Holy Name of Jesus Church. Mr. Rawlston loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He had a great sense of humor and was always there for anyone who needed him.
The funeral is Tuesday, January 4th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart-St. Catherine of Sweden Church, 600 Cambridge Street. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday, January 3rd from 5:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
