Moses P. Moses, 88, of New Bedford died December 28, 2003 at Sacred Heart Nursing Home after a brief illness.
He was the son of the late Peter and Mary (Thomas) Moses.
Mr. Moses was born in New Bedford and had lived in New Bedford for all of his life.
He was a communicant of Our Lady of Purgatory Church. He was a pillar of his church were he enjoyed devoting countless hours in numerous ways. Mr. Moses was the recipient of 2000 Years Award for his outstanding service to his church. He was a member of St. Joseph's Sodality at his church. He was the recipient of the N.A.M. Silver Massabka Medal from the National Apostolate of Maronites.
Mr. Moses was formerly employed as a clerk in the City Treasurer's office for many years until his retirement. He was the prior owner of Bay State Furniture Store.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his sister, Annie Moses of New Bedford; and relatives here and in Lebonan.He was the brother of the late Rachel Moses.
