Mrs. Sarah Newsome Arnold
Augusta, GA – Went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at Augusta Gardens. Sarah Arnold, 86, was the wife of the late James T. “Jim” Arnold.
Mrs. Arnold was in fellowship at Bethany Chapel, and a past manager of the credit unions for Georgia Power and Club Car.
Family members include: sons: Tony Arnold (Beverly) and David Arnold (Kathy) of Augusta, a brother: J. Lester Newsome (Mary Alma) of Augusta, grandchildren: Holly Rippy (Kevin), Candace Taberner (Chad), Lisa McCollum (CJ), Ashley Zobrosky (Mark), Megan Hooker (Ronnie), and Emmalee Brooke Arnold, great-grandchildren: Sara Grace Rippy, Joel Thomas Rippy, Marianna Faith Rippy, Abby Elizabeth Rippy, Jacob C. Taberner, Logan W. Taberner, Kathleen Diane McCollum and Fleming David McCollum. Mrs. Arnold is predeceased by her son Mickey Arnold.
Graveside services will be held Monday, January 3, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Chaplain Dexter Lambert officiating.
The family would like to thank the staff of Augusta Gardens and Heartland Hospice for their loving care and devotion to their mother.
