Obituary

Frances E. (March) French, 90 of Manchester, NH died Wednesday December 29, 2010 at the CRVNA Hospice House in Concord, NH. She was born on October 25, 1920 in Boston, MA, a daughter of the late John and Ella Marie (Pearl) March. She was a resident of Manchester for two years, formerly living in Derry for many years as well as 15 years in Sebring, FL. Mrs. French had been employed by Jewel Electronics in Manchester and Derry Shoe Company in Derry. She was a member of the Sweet Adeline’s Barbershop Quartet for over 20 years. She was also a member of the Red Hat Ladies. She was active in her community in Buttonwood Bay in Sebring, FL. She was a career craft person and loved to do crafts. Her passion in life was her children and grandchildren. She also had a passion for being there for people she thought needed her and never looked for anything in return.
She is survived by one son, Carlton E. French and his wife Claudia of Missouri, two daughters, Patricia D. LaPierre and her husband Robert of Derry, Dorothy A. (French) Simard and her husband George of East Derry, four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Wayne G. French in 2005.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held on Monday, January 3, 2011at 6:00PM at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4:00 - 6:00pm prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701 or to a charity of one’s choice.
