Wright, Raymond Lee, 65, of Louisville, passed away Monday December 27, 2010.
Raymond is a member of St. Louis Bertrand Catholic Church and had retired as an inspector with the U.S.D.A. He was a U. S. Army veteran who proudly served in the Vietnam War with the 11th Armored Calvary, K-Troop (66-67). He received the purple heart cluster, bronze and silver stars. He also retired as a Lieutenant Colonel from the P.R.P. Fire Dept.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Mary Ann (Myers) Wright; a son, Michael Ray Wright; mother, Maxine Frances Wright; five sisters, Sharron A. Singleton, Linda Corley, Anita Stolarick (Larry), Carla Schroeder (Robert) and Jean Brown (Frank); brother, Donald Joseph Wright (Sharon).
His funeral mass will be at 9:00 am Monday at St. Louis Bertrand Catholic Church, 1104 S. Sixth Street with burial in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, KY. Visitation will be 1:00 – 8:00 pm Sunday at the Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy.
In lieu of flowers memorial gifts to WHAS Crusade for Children c/o PRP Fire Dept. Engine Co. #5; Cabbage Patch Settlement House; or St. Joseph Children’s Home.
