Mrs. Mary L. Fairey
Martinez, GA – Entered into rest Wednesday, December 29, 2010, Mrs. Mary L. Fairey, 64, loving wife of 45 years to James E. Fairey, Jr.
Mrs. Fairey was a native of Laredo, TX. She was a Para Pro at Riverside Elementary for 13 years. Mrs. Fairey loved traveling, gardening, and cooking, especially Mexican food. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and taking “adventures” with them. Her family and her husband were the loves of her life.
Family members in addition to her husband include sons: Robert S. Fairey (Anne) of Atlanta, Richard A. Fairey (Kim) of Evans, James C. Fairey (Lindsey) of Atlanta; grandchildren: Taylor, Christopher, Gabbi, Caroline, Collin, Jenna; sisters: Emma Alvey, Alice Paitsel, Cecelia Adams, Gloria Torres-Lewis; brother: Fernando Torres. She was predeceased by her parents, Emilio and Dolores Torres; brother, Jesus Torres; sister, Gerri Torres and granddaughter, Lola Grace Fairey.
A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, December 31, 2010 at 12:00 Noon at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church with Fr. Michael Roverse celebrant. Interment will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Bob Ravenscroft, Andrew Von Plinsky, Dennis Anderson, Jerry Vaughn, Scott Roland, and Lee Roland.
Memorials contributions may be made to the Building Fund at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, 4921 Columbia Rd., Grovetown, GA 30813.
A vigil will be held Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 6:00 P.M. and the family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:00 P.M. at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.
