Genne Ester Poole, age 89, Douglas, GA passed away at Hazlehurst Court and Rehabilation Center in Jeff Davis County, GA following an extended illness. Mrs. Poole was a homemaker and she was a member of the Broxton Methodist Church. She was born on September 13, 1921 in Cushing, OK.. Mrs. Poole was preceded in death by her husband: Herman L. Poole and mother: Madeline V. Reynolds Parks. Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 29, 2010. Interment will be in the Satilla Gardens at a later date. Survivors include: son: Clifford Poole, Spartanburg, SC; grandson: James Michael Poole, Spartanburg, SC; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home. Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
