Alfio “Fred” Torrisi age 85 of Salem, NH, died Friday at the Salemhaven Nursing Home, Salem, NH.
He was born in Lawrence, MA, where he grew up and attended schools, and graduated from Lawrence High School in 1936.
Mr. Torrisi was a self employed carpenter. He was a US Army Veteran, serving in World War 2. He was in the D-Day Invasion at Normandy, and was in the Battle of the Bulge, and received 3 Bronze Stars. He was also a member of the Salem Contractors Association.
He is survived by his wife: Mary (Cheney) Torrisi of Salem, NH
1 Daughter: Linda & her Husband Joseph Bukovec of Nutley, NJ
1 Sister: Jennie Hutchins of Kennebunk, ME
1 Niece and Several Nephews
