Guy Lee Watson, 93, Clarksville, died Thursday, December 23, 2010, at Sterling House. The funeral will be held at 10 AM Monday at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Rev. Skip Armistead officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-4 PM Sunday at the funeral home and from 9 AM until the hour of service Monday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Guy was born on November 20, 1917 in Giles County, TN to the late Claude Watson and Ethel Carden Watson. He was preceded in death by his wife; Katherine Boatright Watson. He was a former Kraft Foods Company plant superintendent and master cheese maker. He was a member of the Hilldale United Methodist Church. Survivors include two sons; David (Sandra) Watson and Larry (Charene) Watson both of Clarksville, four grandchildren; Kisa (Greg) Braselton, Lee (Bill) Persinger, George (Aimee) Watson, and Mandy (Jason) Greene, and nine great-grandchildren; Rebecca, Eric, Lainey, Watson, Abby, Gage, Wade, Wiley, and Georgia. Pallbearers will be George Watson, Jason Greene, Greg Braselton, Bill Persinger, Ed Patterson, Clark Wilbur, and Price Hopson. The family would like to give a special thanks to Mary Birdwell, the Old Sisters and staff at Uffelman Estates. Special Thanks to the staff at Sterling House.
