New Bedford – Ana M.(Goncalo) Ferreira, age 48 years, died unexpectedly in a pedestrian/motor vehicle accident on Tuesday, December 22, 2010. Mrs. Ferreira was the loving wife of Joao P. Ferreira of Dartmouth. She was the mother of Brian Ferreira of Dartmouth and sister of Eduardo Goncalo, husband of Tami, of Dartmouth. Mrs. Ferreira also leaves behind 2 nieces and 3 godchildren.
Mrs. Ferreira was a daughter of Augusto and Adriana (Medeiros) Goncalo of Dartmouth. Ana was born in Rosario, Lagoa, St. Michael, Azores and has lived in this area since 1974. She was a graduate of Dartmouth High School and was currently employed as a legal secretary for the Law Office of Atty. Bruce Bendiksen.
Mrs. Ferreira’s funeral will be Tuesday at the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 9:30 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:30 A.M. Burial will follow at Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours are Monday evening from 5 - 8 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited.
