Albert J. Norton of Sandwich, formerly of Canton, died December 20, 2010. He worked in the insurance industry for over 60 years. When he was young he played semi-professional baseball. Albert was an avid golfer and enjoyed reading, cribbage, his family and his beloved grandchildren. Albert was a member of the Canton Town Club, and Wampatuck Golf Course and Sandwich Hollows. He was a past Town Moderator and a member of the American Legion. He spent 33 years as the Trustee at the Massachusetts Hospital School and was an usher at St. Gerards Church in Canton. Beloved husband of Helen T. (Hanlon) Norton. Loving father of Maureen Norton DaCosta and her husband Stephen of Reading and Stephanie Nadolny and her husband Edward of Sandwich. Dear brother of Richard Norton and his wife Patricia of Quincy. Cherished grandfather of Alison and Meaghan DaCosta and Edward Jr and Sophie Nadolny. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend funeral services in celebration of his life Friday at 9am from the Roache Pushard Family Home for Funerals, 210 Sherman St, Canton with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Gerard's Church, Canton at 10am.
