George E. Tosatti, 98, of Manchester, NH died December 21, 2010 at the Elliot Hospital after a brief illness.
He was born in New Britain, CT, January 4, 1912 and was the son of Anselmo and Fannie (Luppi) Tosatti. He was a lifelong resident of New Britain and had recently moved to Manchester. He and his wife had wintered in Ft. Lauderdale, FL for 26 years.
Mr. Tosatti worked as a tool and die maker for Fafnir Bearing Co. in New Britain for many years.
He was predeceased by his wife of 76 years, Edith M. (D’Amato) Tosatti, October 25, 2010.
He had been a member of the Popoli Society. He loved to fish and play golf.
He leaves a son, George S. Tosatti and his wife, Shirley, of Manchester, NH; a daughter, Barbara Applegate and her husband, Frank, of Hurley, NY; four grandchildren, Margaret Nelson, David Tosatti, Danella Dillion and Craig Applegate; nine great grandchildren; a sister, Theresa Matyka of Cromwell, CT.; many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at St. Joseph Church, 195 South Main St., New Britain, CT
