Clifford F. Keeler, 82

Clifford F. Keeler, 82, of Attleboro formerly of Foxboro and Norwood passed away on Tuesday December 21, 2010 at the Maples Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Wrentham. He was the beloved husband of the late Patricia A. (Houghton) Keeler who died on June 7, 2009.
Born in Norwood, MA on December 18, 1928 he was a son of the late Harold and Ella (Barrett) Keeler.
Cliff grew up in Norwood, was educated in Norwood public schools and was a graduate of Norwood High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during in the Korean War, prior to being honorably discharged.
A retired printer, Mr. Keeler worked for over 25 years at the Foxboro Co. and was also a familiar and friendly face at the former Morse & Forrester’s Variety Store in Mansfield, where he worked for 28 years.
Cliff was a model train enthusiast, enjoyed trips by way of locomotive and was affectionately known by his grandchildren as “Grandpa Choo-Choo” He also enjoyed drawing and had a knack for repairing automobiles.
Mr. Keeler attended the Word of Truth Baptist Church in Attleboro. He made his home in Attleboro for the past 31 years and was a former 27 year resident of Foxboro.
He is survived by his devoted children Shirley D. Keeler of South Easton, Kathleen A. Keeler of Foxboro, William A. Gouveia and his wife Cynthia of Norton, Paul M. Gouveia and his wife Darleen of North Dighton and the late Robert C. Keeler and Patricia A. Gouveia. He was the brother of Walter Keeler of Vermont and the late Carlton Keeler, Barbara Thorpe and Margaret Smith. The loving grandfather of Aaron Gouveia and his wife Martha Jean of Bourne and Nathan Gouveia of Maryland, he is also survived by his great grandson William Gouveia of Bourne, his former wife Janet M. (Buck) Keeler of Foxboro and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Saturday January 8th at 10:00 A.M. in the Word of Truth Baptist Church, 171 Union St., Attleboro. Burial will be held at a later date in the Timothy Plain Cemetery, Norton.
Visiting hours have been omitted and those wishing may remember Cliff with a donation made in his memory to the charity of ones choice.
