Dolores C. (Snyder) Burpee of Duxbury formerly of Pembroke, passed away on December 19th at the age of 80. Mother of Robert Burpee of Duxbury, Heather Burpee-Armstrong of Kingston and Janet Litchfield of Hanson. She was the sister of Janet Condon of Rockland, Sylvia McCarthy of Pembroke and John Snyder of Rockland. She also leaves 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Born to the late William P. and Mary (Buckingham) Snyder in Rockland, Dolores graduated from Rockland Schools and while her main job was a homemaker she also worked as a waitress at the Toll House in Whitman and at the Hobomock Inn in Pembroke. She was a local artist who displayed her artwork in many art shows and competitions.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 373 Court Street, N. Plymouth on Thursday, December 23rd at 9 o’clock followed by a burial at the Hanover Center Cemetery in Hanover.
