James Herbert Price, 81, of Ocilla, Georgia died Monday, December 20, 2010 at Tift Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at the Ocilla Church Of God with Rev. Clayton Dowd and Rev. Dewain Joiner officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 Tuesday evening at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Mr. Price was born November 4, 1929 in Baxley to the late James V. and Florence Drawdy Price. He lived in Ocilla most of his life and was owner/operator of Price Clothing Company. Mr. Price served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Ocilla Church Of God.
He is survived by his children: Jimmy (Pat) Price, of Nashville, TN, Michael Price of Ocilla, Sue Ellen (Andy) Eget of Clevelnad, OH and Johnny (Sherry) Price of Nashville, TN; stepchildren: Randall (Rose) Croft of Douglas, Kenny (Karen) Croft of Ocilla and Julie (David) Spicer of Fitzgerald; 7 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; brother: Gene (Linda) Price of Savannah:sister: Madelyn (James) Rowland of Savannah as well as several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nedia Lewis Price, 3 grandsons, 2 brothers and 1 sister.
