Ms. Hawkins was born in Germany and spent the past 35 years in the Augusta area. She was a class of 1979 graduate of Westside High School, received her Cosmetology Degree from Augusta Technical College, owned and operated her own salon, and was a part-time employee at Auto-Zone. Julie enjoyed gardening, cooking, and going to the lakes and the beach.
Family members include: her daughters: Stacy Morbach (fiance’ John) of North Augusta, SC, and Stephine Morbach of Atlanta, GA, mother: Margaret Johnson (Charles) of Evans, GA, sisters: Leigh Hawkins (Diana) of North Augusta, SC, and Diane Hawkins of Augusta, GA, brothers: Isaac Walter Hawkins, III (Nancy) of Lynchburg, VA, Richard David Hawkins (Valerie) of Martinez, GA, 4 nephews, 1 great-niece and companion Rick C. Hawkins of Martinez, GA.
In lieu of flowers, it is requested that memorial contributions be made to the charity of the donors choice in her name.
