Alexander Dwyer O’Brien Paganelli, 21, a lifelong resident of Dover passed away on December 19, 2010. He was the beloved son of Paul Paganelli & Kerry O’Brien of Dover.
Born in Providence, R.I. on Oct. 27, 1989, Alex was raised in Dover where he attended school & graduated from Dover-Sherborn High School – Class of 2008. While in high school, Alex was the co-Captain of the lacrosse & golf teams & a member of the A Cappella team. Alex was currently a member of the Class of 2012 at Hamilton College where he was a member of the varsity lacrosse team & majoring in Chemistry with coursework in the Pre-med program. He had just returned from a semester abroad on South Caicos Island with the School for Field Studies focusing on marine biology. Alex especially enjoyed visiting with his many aunts, uncles, cousins, & friends, hunting lionfish in Turks & Caicos, playing & composing for the piano, celebrating family traditions, & playing an endless variety of games with his many many friends who will miss him dearly forever.
In addition to his parents, Alex is survived by his sisters, Lea, Siobhan, & Tess Paganelli; his surrogate brother, Gaelan O’Brien of San Diego; & his grandparents, Wanda Paganelli of Warren, OH, Vitale Paganelli of Glens Falls, NY, Marie Drew of Sarasota, FL, & the late Edward O’Brien of Wakefield.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at 3:00 PM in the Dover Church, 17 Springdale Ave. Dover. In lieu of flowers, Alex’s family requests that donations in his memory be made to a traumatic brain injury research organization of one’s own choosing.
