MAMIE ROSE K. ORR-MULLANEMamie Rose K. Orr-Mullane, 10, a member of the fourth grade at Horace Mann School in Newtonville, died Tuesday Dec. 23, 2003 at her home in Newton of mitochondrial disease.Born in Stoneham, she had been a resident of Newton for the past 3 years and had lived in Arlington. She was a member of the Girl Scouts, and is remembered by her family as an avid reader, who loved Sunday school and loved playing outside with her friends.Mamie Rose is survived by her parents, Patrick K. Mullane and Margaret Orr, her sister Moira T.L. Orr-Mullane and her grandmother Ethel Orr of Tempe AZ. She is also survived by many aunts’ uncles and cousins.A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Sat. Dec 27 at 11 AM in Our Lady Help of Christians Church. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours will be in the Eaton & Mackay Funeral Home 465 Centre St. Newton Corner on Fri.Dec. 26 from 4-8 PM.In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mamie Rose’s name may be made to The Playground Project at Albemarle Inc 119 Fair Oaks Ave. Newton, MA 02460
