Eugenia Nowicki of Lawrence passed away peacefully at home on December 13th. She was the daughter of John Kobos and Blanche (Kochanczyk) Kobos, and was a life long resident of Lawrence. She was a graduate of Holy Trinity School, Lawrence High School where she graduated with Great Distinction, and a very proud alumnus of the Lawrence General Hospital School of Nursing. Eugenia was a registered nurse practicing in the Lawrence area for many years. She was a devout member of the former Holy Trinity Parish in Lawrence and more recently, a member of Corpus Christi Parish. She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years Joseph F. Nowicki and brothers Joseph Kobos, Charles Kobos, Edward Kobos, Mitchell Kobos, and Stanley Kobos. She is survived by her sons Joseph John Nowicki of Leverett and Michael John Nowicki and his wife Jennifer Fini of Worcester, grandsons Jude Joseph Nowicki of Leverett and Alex Nowicki of Worcester, sister Irene Hillner of Methuen,and brothers John and Frank Kobos of Lawrence. She was also the loving ciocia to six nieces and nephews and a number of great nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Monday, December 20, 2010 from 8:30 to 9:30 am at The Charles F. Dewhirst Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 10:00am on Monday in Corpus Christi Parish at Holy Rosary Church, Lawrence. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Lawrence.
