Sagamore Beach—Harriet A. “Happy” (Liddell) Zasadny 77, a longtime Bourne resident, and a former resident of Plainville & Dedham, died suddenly Sunday December 12, 2010 at her home in Bourne. She was the wife of the late Philip D. Zasadny, who died in 2006.
Born in Boston, June 7, 1933 a daughter of the late George and Grace L. (Hudson) Liddell, she was raised and educated in Dedham, and was a graduate of the former Catherine Labourre, School of Nursing. Mrs. Zasadny worked for many years as a registered nurse for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. She worked at the former Foxboro State Hospital and the Taunton State Hospital.
Always a cheerful person, she loved to be with people, and enjoyed long distance travel in her motor home.
She is survived by a son; Philip J. Zasadny and his wife Denise of California, 2 daughters; Laura Ferragamo and her husband Paul of Bellingham, & Donna Ward and her husband Dave of New Hampshire, a sister Mary Liddell of Millis, and 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Monday December 20th, at 9:15AM from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage ST. Franklin, www.franklinfuneral.com, with a funeral Mass in St. Brendan Church 382 Hartford Ave. Bellingham, MA at 10AM.
Private interment will take place at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
