Obituary

Dorothy A. Nalevanko of Olyphant died Sunday at Mercy Hospital Hospice, Scranton, after a brief illness.

Born April 19, 1924, in Olyphant, daughter of the late Elmer and Veronica Novajovsky Nalevanko, she was a 1942 graduate of Olyphant High School and a graduate of Lackawanna Business College. After serving in the Navy, she worked for Dr. J.J. O'Connor and Dr. Eugene Roe, before managing the family business, Olyphant Bottling Co. Inc. She was a member of Holy Ghost Church and a 60-year member of the American Legion.

Surviving are a brother, William A. and wife, Florence, Olyphant; a sister, Marie Maceyko and husband, Edward, Warminster; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Elmer and Robert; and three sisters, Philomena Lazarewicz, Anna Nalevanko and Louise Briganti.

The funeral will be Wednesday from the Michael P. Glinisky Funeral Home Inc., 129 Grant St., Olyphant, with Mass at 9:30 a.m. in Holy Cross Parish at St. Patrick's Church. Interment, Holy Ghost Cemetery, Olyphant.
